In your opinion should smart kids have their own classrooms or schools like Stuyvesant or Bronx Science? Why or why not?

I think grouping kids by their abilities is unfair. I say this because you make kids feel like they are better than other kids by grouping them by their abilities. Just because a kid may learn something quicker than another kid doesn’t make them better. Every kid in the world can learn and be taught. So teach and treat all the kids the same. Even if some kids learn faster or are easier to teach .
Summary : Today i learned that when students are grouped into separate classes and given the same curriculum , there is no effect on the achievement . But when the curriculum is adjusted to correspond to ability level , students achievement become higher One student who is a excellent reader may take an honors English course, while another student who struggles with reading may take a remedial reading course.

  1. This is a very thoughtful reflection. Your writing is a clear as a bell. :-) However, the information you read is a counterclaim to what you are arguing. Think of a way to dismiss this argument.
